Wait…we’re artists now?
 

We are Lamar and Sharon Crumbliss and we live in northeast Florida. Yes, Florida is as beautiful as you’ve heard. However, it is insufferably hot and muggy. We have hurricanes every other weekend during the summer. And, this is my favorite thing, everything here has a poisonous bite and/or wants to eat you. Even though we could now live anywhere, we have no plans to move. We’re either too stupid to know any better (we both grew up here), too lazy to move, or we love it here. Go figure.

Lamar was formerly a logistics manager and I was an administrative coordinator/bookkeeper. While Lamar loved logistics, I was rather less fond of bookkeeping. After many years of employment in service to others, and after much consideration, pondering and prayer, we came to the conclusion that it was time to move forward with the next stage of our lives. But after having done the same thing for more than thirty years, how do you decide what’s next?

Like many people, we wanted to spend our time doing something we love, and maybe make a little money while we’re at it. Making a lot of money would be okay too. Oh, and we also needed something we could work at together and not end up hating each other after a long day. Lamar loves woodworking and I love abstract art. Could it actually be possible to combine the two disciplines, and include a display of our faith? I guess we’re about to find out.
